    during the school holidays
i have been looking at what is cheap or free during the school holidays as i wasn't quick enough to get my mini me into the holiday program i can afford (luckily the class i am taking lets me have as much time off as i need in instances like this)
i unfortunately cant find the kidsfest booklet my mini me bought home

does anyone have any recommendations for a poor mum without transport?

and here is a tidbit for you: the tram offers this during the holidays

    Tram Treasure Hunt - Kidsfest
Jump on board Sparky the Tram and search for clues to claim you very own treasure! Purchase a "Sparky Treasure Pack" from our Tram Station shop in Cathedral Junction. Then using your Sparky treasure map find the clues around the city to claim your treasure!

Child price: $7.50 (under 16 yrs). Includes: treasure map, pencil, one day tram ticket. When clues are found, tram cut-out model and small gift/treasure are received.
Adult price: $5.00. Includes one day tram ticket
City 2 Sky members: Purchase children's Treasure Packs for $5.00 - remember to bring your card to board the trams!
There must be one adult per three children

    for 'unconventional' & 'gothy' parents
right, at the moment i have four baby blankets and one single bed throw (its just a bit to small to be a blanket) for sale. the baby blankets are $20 each and the single is $40 (and $5 postage anywhere in new zealand)

*my little disclaimer* now, these arent perfect, some of the lines arent straight, sometimes the material is puckered and doesnt sit exactly right, but they are good looking. i make no bones that they are homemade and am charging what i think are home made prices :)

    X-posted all over the place

    kinder bats
im wanting to plan a halloween event for our kiddies.
halloween doesnt fall on a weekend this year so it looks like the date for it will be sunday the 29th (oct). if we are in our new place by then im looking to have it there (in town) but if not maybe at a park or something?
so its an excuse to dress up our little ones (and ourselves if we want) eat lollies and act scary :)
i know this is ages away but its just an idea at the moment, i want to see who will be interested.

on another note, because it didnt occur to me to post these here, i have made some gothy style baby blankets (and will be making more in the future, including single bed size)
3 for sale atm. $20 each (free delivery anywhere in nz)
pictures behind the cut. i call them the baby bat range :) )

    3 weeks and counting
Well it's another 3 weeks until the school holidays are here again.

Have any of you started to think what you are going to do to entertain the kids over the 2 weeks of the holidays yet? I know there is the Kids Fest thing, but most of it doesn't appeal to my kids and/or it's too pricey. Have any of you heard of anything else happening for the kids?

Maybe we could organise a KAOS Kids outing somewhere during the holidays. Any ideas?

Is there any of you that are artistic, able to incorporate the usual KAOS logo with a kids edge to it for the community picture?
